About the Role
Key Responsibilities
CodeMark & Regulatory Compliance
- Coordinate and support CodeMark certification processes for prefabricated wall systems and associated construction products.
- Prepare, review and maintain technical documentation, compliance reports and certification submissions.
- Interpret and apply requirements of the National Construction Code (NCC) and relevant Australian Standards.
- Liaise with certification bodies, testing agencies, fire engineers and regulatory authorities.
- Monitor updates to building regulations, certification pathways and compliance standards relevant to prefabricated construction systems.
Quality Assurance
- Develop, implement and maintain quality assurance systems, procedures and documentation.
- Conduct internal quality audits and assist with external certification and compliance audits.
- Review manufacturing and production quality systems to ensure ongoing compliance with testing and certification requirements.
- Investigate non-conformances and support corrective and preventative actions.
- Maintain product traceability, testing records and technical documentation systems.
Fire Resistance Testing
- Coordinate fire resistance testing programs for prefabricated wall systems and assemblies.
- Assist in the preparation and review of fire test specimens, methodologies and testing requirements.
- Analyse fire test outcomes and prepare technical reports and supporting documentation.
- Support performance-based fire engineering assessments and compliance pathways.
- Liaise with accredited fire testing laboratories, consultants and technical specialists.
Technical Engineering Support
- Provide technical advice relating to prefabricated wall system design, durability, structural performance and compliance.
- Support research and development initiatives focused on engineered building systems and product innovation.
- Assist with technical presentations, product training and stakeholder engagement.
- Contribute to technical manuals, installation guides, product documentation and compliance resources.
Requirements
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Engineer to support the compliance, certification, quality assurance and fire testing requirements of innovative prefabricated wall systems and construction products.
This role is ideally suited to someone with experience in CodeMark certification pathways, QA systems, fire resistance testing and technical compliance within the building products, manufacturing or construction sectors.
The successful candidate will work closely with internal manufacturing and technical teams, external laboratories, certifiers, regulators and consultants to ensure products meet relevant Australian Standards, NCC requirements and performance expectations across residential, commercial and industrial applications.
